Synopsis
Mr. Duck Detective has come back to town, but this time his moral compass is a little shaky! Evil has been whispering in his ear and they are desperate to turn him over to their side. Can we trust him?
This time... The Damsel Strikes Back!
Gameplay
This script is all about the flavor text. With a Mezepheles in play, the Duck Detective can be convinced to play for the evil in town, helping them find the damsel. The Storyteller decides the word and weaves the tale. The detective must go about their normal investigation, but if they turn evil, the objective changes to helping find the damsel or determining if one is even in play.
Advanced. Gameplay can flip on it's head and the Damsel and Marionette both can hide through bluffs, providing even more misinformation. The Storyteller plays a more active role, weaving a story that might lead to the detective saying the secret Mezepheles word. Please be sure to read the Storyteller tips at the bottom of the page and visit the Gameplay and Jinxes page for more in depth explanations.
The Duck and the Damsel
The Damsel will bluff a Townsfolk character, even if you execute them! So you might not even know that their information is incorrect if you aren't careful! If there are no evil Duck Detectives and one cannot still be made, the Damsel will publicly claim to be the Damsel at any point the Storyteller deems appropriate.
Be careful though as the Marionette has a similar mechanic, but is evil! They will claim a good character, and will reveal as that character when executed. So you gotta be careful about information from dead good characters.
