Summary
"Each day, reveal up to 4 seats' claims. You may use any revealed characters ability once per game and cannot target yourself."
- You may reveal up to 4 seats each day, and you may use any ability of revealed and unused characters at any point.
- You have two options to end the day, to execute a seat and to sleep. Executing two good players will cause the game to end in an evil victory.
How to run
Each day, if a Duck Detective reveals a seats' character, put the REVEALED token on that seat.
If a character's ability has been used, place an appropriate NO ABILITY token on them. If the character was drunk or poisoned when you do so, also place a DROISONED token on that seat.
Examples
On day three, the Duck Detective reveals a Juggler. The Duck Detective must use the Juggler's ability that day.
The Duck Detective executes a Washerwoman followed by a Recluse that registered and revealed as the Widow. The game is not over.
The Duck Detective reveals the seat of the Pit-Hag. Later that day the Savant claims that they have been changed into the Ogre, they must make an Ogre pick that day.
Tips & Tricks
- The detective has limited opportunities each day, and since the Demon will usually prioritise killing unrevealed seats, plan carefully when and whom you choose to reveal.
- Each good ability can only be used once, so use them thoughtfully. A correct guess from a Gambler and a bluff from an evil player pretending to be the Gambler can appear identical.
- Keep an eye on how many evil players remain alive and the fact that evil players must provide false information. If there is only a single evil alive, a living Steward pointing at someone else alive cannot be evil (but are they sober?)
- There are ways to kill seats without executing them, which can help conserve your good execution limit. However, if you rely on a seats alignment to find other evil characters, removing them this way will also remove that valuable information. Evil players can be killed by the Demon for this same purpose!
- Check the possible sources of evils giving truthful information, and good players giving false information and try not to assume that just because someone has good/bad info means they must be good/evil respectively.
