== Gameplay ==&lt;br /&gt;
This script is all about the flavor text. With a Mezepheles in play, the Duck Detective can be convinced to play for the evil in town, helping them find the damsel. The Storyteller decides the word and weaves the tale. The detective must go about their normal investigation, but if they turn evil, the objective changes to helping find the damsel or determining if one is even in play.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Advanced.&#039;&#039; Gameplay can flip on it&#039;s head and the Damsel and Marionette both can hide through bluffs, providing even more misinformation. The Storyteller plays a more active role, weaving a story that might lead to the detective saying the secret Mezepheles word. Please be sure to read the Storyteller tips at the bottom of the page and visit the [[Gameplay and Jinxes]] page for more in depth explanations.&lt;br /&gt;

== The Duck and the Damsel ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Marionette will bluff a good character, but unlike other evils, they will be revealed as that character when executed. The same applies to the Damsel, except they will always bluff a Townsfolk. If the Duck Detective is not, and can not possibly turn evil, the Damsel will claim to be the Damsel at any point the Storyteller deems appropriate.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a Duck Detective is turned evil, they must at one point publicly guess which seat is the Damsel. If correct, the evil team wins. If wrong, good wins. In the case of multiple duck detectives that have different alignments, prioritise the choices of the good duck detectives, especially around executions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The bluff that the Marionette and the Damsel use should not be completely undetectable, but difficult to discern to not immediately out two evils (in the case of Marionette) and make it remain an enjoyable puzzle when a Duck Detective turns evil.&lt;br /&gt;

This script is all about the flavor text. With a Mezepheles in play, the Duck Detective can be convinced to play for the evil in town, helping them find the damsel. The Storyteller decides the word and weaves the tale. The detective must go about their normal investigation, but if they turn evil, the objective changes to helping find the damsel or determining if one is even in play.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Advanced.&#039;&#039; Gameplay can flip on it&#039;s head and the Damsel and Marionette both can hide through bluffs, providing even more misinformation. The Storyteller plays a more active role, weaving a story that might lead to the detective saying the secret Mezepheles word. The Marionette will bluff a good character, but unlike other evils, they will be revealed as that character when executed. The same applies to the Damsel, except they will always bluff a Townsfolk.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If the Duck Detective is not, and can not possibly turn evil, the Damsel will claim to be the Damsel at any point the Storyteller deems appropriate.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The bluff that the Marionette and the Damsel use should not be completely undetectable, but difficult to discern to not immediately out two evils (in the case of Marionette) and make it remain an enjoyable puzzle when a Duck Detective turns evil.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;Here are a few general tips for The Duck Detective to help your game run as smooth as possible:&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;

# Once tokens are passed out, move to night 1 for the rest of setup. Here you can preselect your bluffs for each character and possible information. Since each character only acts once, it is easier to think ahead and determine possible information for things like High Priestess, Noble, and Fisherman. Having as much information as possible ready and written down in your reminder tokens is key to a smooth gameplay.&lt;br /&gt;
# Night 1 information such as Noble and Shugenja might not be shared until later in the game when the detective is ready for this information. In addition, Townsfolk and Outsider characters that choose such as Gambler and Acrobat are left up to the duck to decide their target. They can use these abilities when they are ready.&lt;br /&gt;
# Remember: Evil, drunk, poisoned, and bluffing characters ALL MUST LIE. Think of it as a Vortox effect. This is key to helping solve the puzzle, but can also throw a few wrenches into the detective&#039;s plans! Just as you predetermine information or Townsfolk characters, do this for the lying characters as well! A demon bluffing High Priestess could create a fun wild good chase by pointing at a drunk Investigator or another evil player bluffing Clockmaker.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

This script is all about the flavor text. With a Mezepheles in play, the Duck Detective can be convinced to play for the evil in town, helping them find the damsel. The Storyteller decides the word and weaves the tale. The detective must go about their normal investigation, but if they turn evil, the objective changes to helping find the damsel or determining if one is even in play.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Advanced.&#039;&#039; Gameplay can flip on it&#039;s head and the Damsel and Marionette both can hide through bluffs, providing even more misinformation. The Storyteller plays a more active role, weaving a story that might lead to the detective saying the secret Mezepheles word. As the Duck Detective, it is your job to solve this mystery! Each day, you will choose who to speak with and if you&#039;d like to dive into their information that day or at a later time. Use your excellent interrogation skills to find &#039;&#039;&#039;all&#039;&#039;&#039; of the evils in town, but please don&#039;t hurt innocent citizens!&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;Here are a few general tips for The Duck Detective to help your game run as smooth as possible:&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
# Once tokens are passed out, move to night 1 for the rest of setup. Here you can preselect your bluffs for each character and possible information. Since each character only acts once, it is easier to think ahead and determine possible information for things like High Priestess, Noble, and Fisherman. Having as much information as possible ready and written down in your reminder tokens is key to a smooth gameplay.&lt;br /&gt;
# Night 1 information such as Noble and Shugenja might not be shared until later in the game when the detective is ready for this information. In addition, Townsfolk and Outsider characters that choose such as Gambler and Acrobat are left up to the duck to decide their target. They can use these abilities when they are ready.&lt;br /&gt;
# Remember: Evil, drunk, poisoned, and bluffing characters ALL MUST LIE. Think of it as a Vortox effect. This is key to helping solve the puzzle, but can also throw a few wrenches into the detective&#039;s plans! Just as you predetermine information or Townsfolk characters, do this for the lying characters as well! A demon bluffing High Priestess could create a fun wild good chase by pointing at a drunk Investigator or another evil player bluffing Clockmaker.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

This script is all about the flavor text. With a Mezepheles in play, Mr. Duck Detective can be convinced to play for the evil in town, helping them find the damsel. The Storyteller decides the word and weaves the tale. The detective must go about their normal investigation, but if they turn evil, the objective changes to helping find the damsel or determining if one is even in play.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Advanced.&#039;&#039; Gameplay can flip on it&#039;s head and the Damsel and Marionette both can hide through bluffs, providing even more misinformation.
